General Hospital, Ijede (formerly Ijede Health Centre) was established by the civilian administration of Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande in 1983 to provide health care services to the citizens of Ijede/Egbin community and its catchment areas and has been delivering on that mandate ever since.
It has 33 beds and 6cots, staffed by Medical, Nursing, Paramedical, Pharmaceutical Laboratory and Administrative Personnel.
It functions primarily as a secondary health care delivery facility. It is a unit under the state Health Service Commission (HSC).
