Standard of Service: Nursing intervention 1 – 10 minutes of presentation at the Casualty. Eligibility: All clients

GIVING OF INJECTION

Standard of Service: To be treated within 20 minutes of presentation. Eligibility: All Clients

CHECKING VITAL SIGNS

Standard of Service: To be done within 5 minutes of presentation. Eligibility: All clients

BED MAKING

Standard of Service: Changing of bed sheets daily or within 10 minutes of soiling. Eligibility: All clients

ADMINISTRATION OF DRUGS

Standard of Service: Drugs are administered on – Daily, twice a day, thrice a day and four times a day. Also on hourly basis as prescribed. Eligibility: All clients

CONDUCTION DELIVERIES AND (REGISTERED)

Standard of Service: (a) Proceed to labor ward. (b) Assessment, continuous monitoring and delivery by midwife/Doctor on duty. (c) call Doctors if need be in 5 minutes. Eligibility: Booked pregnant women due for delivery.

ANTENATAL BOOKING

Standard of Service: (a) Registration at HIMS within 3 minutes. (b) Assessment by a midwife between 1 hour. (c) An appointment for antenatal clinic immediately after completing relevant clinic investigations. (d) Voluntary donation of a unit of blood by the spouse or a fit relative. (e) Due payment made. Eligibility: Confirmed Pregnancy.

FAMILY PLANNING

Standard of Service: (a) Counselling on Family Planning in 10 minutes. (b) Choice of Methods by Clients after due counseling. (c) Administration of family Planning by a Nurse in 10 minutes. (d) Referral to appropriate unit in 20 minutes where necessary. Eligibility: Adolescents & Women of Child Bearing Age

DOT

Standard of Service: (a) Assessment by a Nurse within 30 minutes. (b) Confirmation of diagnosis by Gene Expert test before commencement of drugs. (c) Daily administration of drugs. Eligibility: All Clients that need treatment for Tuberculosis.

WOUND DRESSING

Standard of Service: Expected to be attended to within 1 hour of presentation except in emergency which is attended to within 4 -10 minutes of presentation. Eligibility: All Clients.

FBS/RBS

Standard of Service: CTo be done within 5 minute of presentation. Eligibility: All Clients

RESUSCITATIVE CARE

Standard of Service: Care commences within 1 minute of identification. Eligibility: All clients

WOUND DRESSING

Standard of Service: Changing of dressing daily at 10am or as requested by the Doctor. Eligibility: All clients.

HEALTH COUNSELLING

Standard of Service: Health counseling 30mins before clinics and continuously on demand individually. Eligibility: All clients

CONDUCTING DELIVERIES (UNREGISTERED)

Standard of Service: (a) Proceed to emergency/Casualty department. (b) Registration and Assessment by a Doctor in 5 minutes. (c) Investigation done in 30 minutes. (d) Ongoing treatment, admission and delivery/payment. Eligibility: Un-booked patients

POST NATAL CLINIC (PNC)

Standard of Service: (a) Measurement of vital signs in 10 minutes. (b) Assessment by midwife in 1 hour. (c) Referral to appropriate unit in 20 minutes. Eligibility: Booked Post natal Patients by appointment

CHILD WELFARE CLINIC

Standard of Service: (a) Health talk on Exclusive Breastfeeding (EBF), Childcare, Follow-up, Nutrition and Weaning. (b) BCG, OPV, HBV, Penta IPv, Pcv to be taken every Monday. (c) OPV, Penta, IPv, Pcv given every Tuesday. (d) Measles, Yellow Fever, Vit. A given every Thursday. (e) Appointments for follow-up immunization. Eligibility: Infants Ages 0-5yrs
